Aims & Scope

The Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering serves as a resource to researchers, practitioners, and students on advances and innovative ideas in computing as applicable to the civil engineering profession. The Journal's scope encompasses vital emerging areas of computing, such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence, building information modeling, sensors and sensing systems, automation, robotics, and their applications across various civil engineering subdomains, including structures, materials, water resources, geotechnical engineering, construction, transportation, and infrastructure systems.

ASCE strives to advance research across civil engineering and related disciplines that will help inform, develop, and inspire sustainable action. We therefore encourage authors to categorize their research using at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals identified by the United Nations.
