Call For Papers

COBEM 2027 (International Congress of Mechanical Engineering) is an academic conference held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 2027-12-06. The paper submission deadline is 2027-02-01. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2027-03-15.

Welcome to the 2027 ABCM COBEM – 29th International Congress of Mechanical Engineering! COBEM is the largest congress on mechanical engineering in Latin America. The 29th edition has been organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Campinas, UNICAMP. The event will be held at the Zeferino Vaz campus, located in Campinas, State of São Paulo, Brazil, from December 6 to 10, 2027. We intend to provide a good environment for participants, including social events and daily cultural activities. The theme “Mobilization for a Sustainable Future” aims to consider effective sustainable innovation strategies in engineering to build a better future. The conference includes a full array of keynote talks, plenary sessions, technical paper presentations and posters, short courses, award sessions, as well as committee and ABCM meetings. It is an open forum for discussion where attendees can interact and network with the community, including our partners and sponsors. We expect around 1,500 scientists, researchers, faculty members, students, and professional engineers to present and discuss all topics of the following symposia: Aerospace Engineering; Bioengineering; Combustion; Dynamics, Control, Vibrations, and Acoustics; Education; Energy and Thermal Sciences; Engineering Design; Fluid Mechanics and Rheology; Fracture, Fatigue, and Structural Integrity; Materials and Manufacturing Engineering; Mechatronics and Automation; Nano and Microfluidic and Microsystems; Non-linear Phenomena; Offshore and Petroleum Engineering; Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration; Smart Materials and Structures; Solid Mechanics, and Uncertainty Quantification and Stochastic Modeling. Campinas is the largest city in the countryside of São Paulo state. Located about 100 km from the state capital, the city has a population of 1.3 million and ranks as the tenth most developed in Brazil. Campinas was one of the most important centers during the coffee cycle, from which it inherited many tourist attractions that COBEM 2027 participants will be able to appreciate: the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest rammed earth structure in the world, the Cadet School, and the Campinas-Jaguariúna steam train ride. Campinas is also known for several important national centers for Science and Technology. The Renato Archer Information Technology Center (CTI Renato Archer) and the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), both near UNICAMP, bring together dozens of laboratories and hundreds of scientists in areas such as computer science, robotics, nanotechnology, biology, and physics. The LNLS and Sirius synchrotron light sources are two examples, both open to visitors. A large number of technological companies are also located around UNICAMP. The Barão Geraldo district, where UNICAMP is located and where the conference will be held, is a separate region from the city. A peaceful, safe, and bohemian place, where participants can enjoy dozens of gastronomic options, live music, and shopping. Barão Geraldo has several accommodation, food, and transportation options, including Uber and public transportation, with many points of interest in the district within walking distance. We invite you to submit your contribution and participate in this edition of COBEM. We hope to see you in Campinas in December 2027! Prof. Marco L. Bittencourt. Chair of the 29th COBEM
