Call For Papers
We invite the submission of Full (completed) Research Papers; Emergent Research Forum (ERF) papers; Workshops and Tutorials; Panels; Professional Development Symposia (PDS); and Technology Research, Education, and Opinion (TREO) Talks to the 24th Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS 2018), which will be held August 16-18, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. AMCIS brings together academics and industry professionals around the world to exchange knowledge related to the AMCIS 2018 theme, Digital Disruption. Digital disruption is the powerful transformation that drives how businesses create value with new digital technologies. Digital disruption transforms all industries, and manifests itself through a variety of digital tools, services, and artifacts. It fuels more rapid and on-going innovation in businesses. For businesses, digital disruption is not an if, but a when. Having the understanding and ability to respond to digital disruptions is key for businesses to maintain competitive advantage. Submissions The AMCIS 2018 Conference is accepting the following types of submissions. Please click here for more information. Scholarly integrity is a core value in our discipline. Scholars submitting papers to this conference thereby attest that they have read the AIS Code of Research Conduct; and the work submitted is in accordance with the Code in all appropriate respects. Editors of AMCIS conference proceedings who receive allegations of plagiarism or other scholarly misconduct may inform the AIS President who may refer the matter, at his/her discretion, to the AIS Research Conduct Committee. Authorship cannot change after the original submission. At least one author of each submission must attend AMCIS and present the work. If a submission is accepted but not presented by an author, it will be removed from the program. Authors must be able to present on any day of the conference – the program cannot be tailored around specific requests from individual authors to present on particular days. Journal Publication The AIS Policy on Conference and Journal Publication encourages conference papers to be published in journals. This policy applies to AIS conferences (there are no copyright issues to prevent your AIS conference paper from being published in any journal (AIS or not)), and to AIS journals (there are no restrictions preventing you from submitting your conference paper to an AIS journal). Many non-AIS journals have similar policies, so you can submit your AIS conference paper to them. The policy and list of non-AIS journals with similar policies, is available at the Policy page.
