DependSys 2026 (IEEE International Conference on Dependability in Sensor, Cloud, & Big Data Systems & Applications) is an academic conference held in Luoyang, China on 2026-10-29. The paper submission deadline is 2026-07-15. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2026-09-10.
IEEE DependSys-2026 is part of a well-established conference series that provides a premier forum for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to present and exchange new ideas, techniques, and solutions related to dependability in sensor, cloud, and big data systems and applications. With the rapid advancement of the Information Age, massive volumes of data are generated daily from sensors, personal archives, social networks, the Internet of Things, enterprises, and the Internet in diverse scales and formats. These developments pose significant challenges to the dependability of modern computing systems. Over time, such systems often tend to become inert, fragile, and vulnerable, making the improvement of dependability increasingly critical.
The conference aims to bring together individuals, academics, practitioners, and organizations involved in the design, development, and deployment of dependable computing systems. Future systems must address the dependability gap under a wide range of conditions and challenges. The conference will emphasize key properties of dependable systems, including continuity, performance efficiency, real-time responsiveness, anomaly detection, resistance to corruption, prevention of catastrophic failures, protection against privacy intrusions, as well as reliability, availability, sustainability, adaptability, heterogeneity, security, and safety.
IEEE DependSys-2026 will be held in Luoyang, China, a historic city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and as one of the ancient capitals of China. The city features world-famous landmarks such as the Longmen Grottoes and the White Horse Temple, offering an inspiring environment that blends tradition with modern innovation.
Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers to DependSys-2026. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. Authors of selected best papers will be invited to extend their work for special issues of prestigious journals planned in conjunction with the conference.
