About

The Journal of Information Technology Education: Research (JITE: Research) is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly articles on the use of information technology at all levels of education. This includes using technology to enhance learning, to support teaching and teaching administration. In addition, articles on the teaching of information technology are also welcome. While information technology is the central focus, a sound underpinning of pedagogical principles is requisite.

The journal publishes conceptual, theoretical and empirical papers that make a substantial contribution to determining the role of information technology in education.

All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality print publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all articles online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Mission

The mission of the Journal of Information Technology Education: Research is to promote scholarly research on the integration of information technology in education to enhance learning and teaching. This implies the application of appropriate pedagogy to such efforts. We aim to achieve this by:

Publishing contributions that cross boundaries such as geographical, discipline and methodological approaches.
Rapid online publication of accepted articles. Giving useful, timely feedback on submissions through a rigorous review process that is also one of collegial mentoring.
