Special Issues
Special Issue on Materials innovation and mechanistic features of photo/thermal catalysis for sustainable chemical production (Sustainable chemicals)
Submission Date: 2024-09-30

This special issue is of paramount importance as it explores the pioneering applications of photo/thermal catalysis in sustainable energy and chemical synthesis. Addressing the global imperative for cleaner energy sources, the issue focuses on Green Fuel Generation, leveraging catalytic processes for efficient hydrogen, methane, and ammonia production with a reduced carbon footprint. The Waste-to-Everything theme underscores circular economy principles, employing catalysis to convert waste biomass, plastic, and discarded materials into energy and valuable chemicals. Moreover, the Carbon Neutrality Alignment aspect highlights how photo/thermal catalysis contributes to carbon capture, utilization, and storage, crucial for achieving net-zero carbon emissions. This special issue provides a platform to disseminate cutting-edge research, fostering collaboration and accelerating advancements in environmentally sustainable practices. Researchers are invited to contribute to this critical discourse, collectively advancing the path toward a sustainable future.
