Scope and General Information

The IEEE Control Systems Letters (L-CSS) publishes brief articles that provide a concise account of innovative ideas regarding the theory, design, and applications of all aspects of control engineering.

The journal aims at ensuring rapid dissemination of the most recent results in the broad field of systems and control.

The articles in this journal are peer reviewed in accordance with the requirements set forth in the IEEE PSPB Operations Manual (sections 8.2.1.C & 8.2.2.A). Each published article was reviewed by a minimum of two independent reviewers using a single-anonymous peer review process, where the identities of the reviewers are not known to the authors, but the reviewers know the identities of the authors. Articles will be screened for plagiarism before acceptance.

Corresponding authors from low-income countries are eligible for waived or reduced open access APCs.

Submitted manuscripts must be typewritten in English. We require a double-column version at the time of submission. The maximum number of allotted pages is 6.
Papers of length exceeding 6 pages, in 2-column, single-spaced format (including figures), will not be considered.

The L-CSS is an electronic-only, hybrid open-access journal and is available on-line through IEEE Xplore.
The final version provided by the authors will be rapidly posted on IEEE XPlore as Early Access version (with a DOI), and replaced by an edited, XML tagged version soon after.
The L-CSS has a single volume per year (and no issues) to make immediate publication of dispatched papers possible.
