We are excited to announce the merger of Computer Languages, Systems and Structures with the Journal of Visual Languages and Computing (JVLC), beginning with the first volume of 2019. Until now, the journals have published as separate titles but with a similar mission - to foster research into the design, implementation and use of computing languages. We feel that the time is right to bring the journals together and provide the community with a single publication which covers all areas of computer languages.

Our journal, which will continue under the title, the Journal of Visual Languages and Computing (to be known as JVLC, the Journal of Computer Languages), will welcome original research articles, survey articles, and short communications. The Editorial Team will be led by Marjan Mernik (Slovenia), who will be assisted by Associate Editors with expertise in specific aspects of computer languages, and will contain members from the Editorial Boards of both Computer Languages, Systems and Structures and JVLC. Our commitment to peer-review, rapid publication and wide dissemination remains, as does our commitment to the community.
